Wettest looking digital watercolour so far was painted in March 09Purple Jug and Red Apples Two Digital Watercolour by Joan A Hamilton March 5, 2009
This is the wettest looking watercolour I've ever done! I am so excited about some new techniques. This was done with Corel Painter 9.5 , then wetter parts were done in Corel Painter 11. I purposely painted looser than usual and left some of the wet fringe marks. It was easier to get a feel for this with the way the brushes react to tilting them. I blurred some lines with a distortion brush (multi confusion), added some splattered water, warped it then reduced the opacity of that layer. Finally I lifted the canvas to the watercolour layer, and wet it slightly, followed by a slight amount of Italian watercolour texture surface texture. It's a work in progress, but I am going to stop now and look at it tomorrow because I think I may be finished. Posted in Miscellaneous on July 10th, 2009.
