The Corel Painter 12 has stopped working message is becoming far too familiar

I have the crashes too :( and at times I get horrible brush lag even with something as simple as a 2B pencil. At those times I can open task manager and right click on Painter 12 and select affinity, disable half of my computers cores and the brush lag disappears. On my computer I leave the first core enabled and then disable every other one down the list. The really bad news, when Painter 11 was released in February 2009 it was also very very buggy, the first hot fix that only addressed a very few issues wasn't released until May, and the service pack that fixed many of the most serious issues wasn't released until January 6 2010. That was almost a year after the initial release.

I certainly hope the crashing issue is addressed in the first hot fix and that it comes soon, but Painter has had a long history of crash issues so I wouldn't hold my breath :(

Honestly if it wasn't for the amazing watercolor brushes I'm not sure I would bother with it, but they are sooooo good that I put up with things I wouldn't in any other program.
