Printing Note Cards With an Epson Stylus Photo R1800Printing Note Cards With an Epson Stylus Photo R1800 ( First published 23/9/08 on Wordpress Blog)
Today I am printing 30 or so Thank You cards that I have created for my beautiful niece to use as special Thank You cards for her wedding gifts. I will be printing them on Red River Aurora Art White 6.25 x 9 in. scored cards. They are nice and thick and have a slightly textured surface. The printer I will use is an Epson Stylus Photo R1800. Initial formatting and figuring out the best print settings took quite a few tries to get the positioning of the image, the text, and the border right. I also found that I had to reduce the Dye Concentration slightly in Painter of the image or it printed too dark on the Matte paper. Print Set Up: User Defined Paper Size settings for the cards 6.25 in. x 9 in. Paper Type: I chose the Ultra Premium Presentation Matte because Red River Paper who makes the Aurora Art White Card indicated that the Matte Presentation Paper settings be chosen to use with this cardstock. Make sure you select the proper printer profiles as shown. I managed to get 20 done, but my printer was being very tempermental, which is probably my fault because I'm technologically challenged. More on some of the problems and solutions tomorrow. Hope this, at least, has given you the idea that it is indeed possible to do this.
