Playing Around with Wet Brushes and Growth Effect in Corel PainterUsing the Growth EffectI rarely use an effect or another layered image from someplace else in my paintings. If you can't really do something very nearly like it with traditional watercolours, I feel it's cheating to use it in digital watercolours. Don't get me wrong! There is a lot of really wonderful art being created by manipulating photos and applying special effects in PSP and with other kinds of software. I've always been kind of a traditionalist digital painter, and have focused on making my own marks with the brushes and minimal effects.
Can't figure out why you would want mirrored image trees though!
Was playing around with trying to get a wet into wet look and evetually came up with this. To find this, look in Effects-Esoterica-Growth!
