Passing Another Milestone on My Art JourneyPassing another milestone on my art journey
In the past week alone things have taken a definate turn upwards in my progress. I'm so happy, happy, happy. Yeah me! Get this, I sold one painting through the Gallery in Renfrew, two to family, and my first online sale on this site!! Oh and I'm also doing a grouping for my doctor's office!
Why are waiting rooms so dreary in some cases?
Waiting rooms are so dreary in many cases still. Why? When they can buy my art or anyone else's so easily and affordably these days. I think it's a case of: they don't know what to pick, so they just stick up something bland, or some All Posters ( no offence meant) thing that everyone has seen a million times just to be safe!!
Twitter seems to be working for me!
By the way my online sale came about from a connection I made on Twitter. Cool eh! I've been Twittering for a little while and am starting to get the hang of it. I can see how Twitter could be a big time-waster if you let it. I have connected with more artists in the last month than the prior six months and am starting to see that 'connections' can lead to so many things.
Dan has a really good post about it on Empty Easel last week Empty Easel Post on the subject Twitter

Congratulations on your sales!! That is wonderful news. I'm glad that I found you through Twitter. it can be a big time waster, but it also can be a great way to get to know people with many of the same interests. For us gardener types, it is a way of exchanging info and keeping track of what's happening in our gardens. That is fun and informative. For you, it is also a way to get known to a bigger market. Good luck!! I love your paintings! Have a good week.
