Painting Falling Snow With Corel Painter - My First Video I got a little sidetracked from painting the Winter Birches demo. (I am still working on it and will post when I have more). Once I started making snowflakes, I needed some new brushes and decided to make you a video to show you how to paint falling snow with two methods I use: a wet method and a dry method.
Making a video is hard work. It looks easy when you watch them, but hah! The devil is in learning all the little technical details of how to do it. I must have watched the Camtasia Studio 7 tutorial videos ten times! It further convinced me that videos are great way to learn things. Teaching easy steps to doing things simply in watercolour painting by videos is another way to get the information across. Being able to make videos of my Painter screen and show exactly what I am doing is pretty awesome when you think of it.
I sure hope it gets easier to do. The fact that I can turn a PowerPoint Presentation into a video is pretty cool. That's what I'm going to try after making the second part of this series Painting Fallen Snow The Dry Methods. Bear with me, they will get better (and shorter)!
Yesterday I was in a "determined to finish one today mood" and this is the result. I could have polished it more, but just getting two sections linked together was enough for me and I ran out of day.

Thanks for the demo video. I'm still not devoting enough time to learning Painter 11 and here you are on version 12 all ready. I'm hoping there is a way to subscribe to your blog. I'm hoping it will get me started on improving my skills.
