I've been away, but will be back to blogging soon!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry there hasn't been anything new for awhile. I have been away for a bit and have been busy trying to get a handle on some new techniques and brushes. It is such an evolving process. Seems like I have to keep painting more and more all the time to really learn anything useful. That is really the best way I guess - practice, practice and then do it some more.

I am taking Skip Allen's Basic Watercolour Painter 12 course at Digital Art Academy right now, although I am behind in watching all of week two's video's because I have been away. He is teaching about mixing colours in watercolour which is very important and he has some interesting techniques I have not exactly tried. One is using the Colour Mixer more... which I plan to experiment with.

I'll blog later this week, meanwhile look around. There is still lots to see on this site.

An old tutorial I was looking at today was the one on Banff Sunrise. You can check it out here. It has some cool techniques that are very helpful. Good old Lasso Tool. Search that in the blog search bar and you will come up with more than a few.
