I'm so fed up with Painter 12 Crashing that I feel like quitting painting

It's happened again and again! I feel like it's been months since I could progress through a whole painting without this stupid, annoying, maddening, frustrating thing happening! (Since I got Painter 12 in May/11) It really interrupts your workflow, and does nasty things to your creativity!!

I'm at the point where I'm considering going back to painting with Painter 11. Maybe it doesn't have the fancy new Real Watercolours, but I lived without them before and actually managed to finish paintings that I liked. I don't even have to be using the Real Watercolours for Painter 12 to crash.

Even the simplest things can make it happen! And yes I have downloaded the patch that came out a few months ago and it hasn't solved the problem! Maybe I don't crash 10 times a day, but even once or twice is too many for me now. My patience and tolerance for this kind of crap has run out!

Please Corel can you not do something??? I paid good money for this product, and I expect it to work better than this! Some of us are trying to earn a living using your software. How can I finish paintings, learn new techniques, write tutorials on them etc. when I have to deal with this? Don't tell me I need to Save every few minutes to protect my work for when it happens! That is ridiculous! It should not happen period!

Is this hapening to you? What are your experiences? Have you found ways to solve it?

Hi Joan.

I am sorry you were frustrated to the point of having to document your issues on your blog versus Painterfactory.com. Perhaps you could contact me to arrange a concall to review where your issues are?

We do take stability seriously and reported crashes are chased down by our developer team!

Sincerely yours,

Andy Church

Hi Andy
Sorry I didn't see this message until this evening. Something was blocking my messages. I will be in touch soon to arrange a concall to discuss my issues. My blog is about the ups and downs of being a digital painter and I am free to say what I like there. If Corel can fix these problems or even try to, you can be sure I will blog about that too. :)
Cheers,
Joan
