Great New Lower Price for Note Cards of My Digital Watercolours

Most people do, but only if the product is really a bargain and not just a shoddy version of a good quality product. My search for blank Note Cards that I can print my art on and have it look the way I want led me to Red River Paper. I have been using their Aurora Fine Art White paper for my prints outs and my cards for a few years with great results. 

 

Red River Paper's Best Selling Photo Matte Paper

I recently decided to try a less expensive card stock from Red River Paper called Polar Matte (60 lb. - 11 mil thickness double sided). It took a few tries with different print settings, but I have to say that in all honesty the printed cards are PDG! (pretty darn good!) The paper is a good thickness, slightly less thick than the Aurora Fine Art paper (64 lb -13.5 mil thickness), a nice bright white, and the colours appear right on. It does not have the slightly textured surface of the 100% Cotton Rag the Aurora Fine Art paper does being made of alpha cellulose, but the Matte finish is comparable to good quality store bought cards. The results are more than acceptable for the price.  Red River calls Polar Matte 60 lb Double sided their best selling cardstock, and it must be so for a reason  I figure. It also loads into my printer without me having to give each card a little shove and hope it catches which I have to do with the Aurora paper. That gets a little tedious, not to mention time consuming when printing more than a few at a time.

 

In conclusion, the cards are comparable in weight and thickness, the colours are true, it loads into the printer better and costs about half the price, so I have decided to offer the Polar Matte Note Cards (Blank Inside)  as an alternative to the more costly Aurora Fine Art Cards (which I still think are beautiful and worth $4.00 /card as singles for a more special card!)

 

The Polar Matte cards which can be printed on both sides, which makes adding custom text or images to the inside of the card possible, are a real deal compared to many store bought cards. You can also write easily in these cards with ordinary ball point pens and fine tip markers!
