A Note from the Studio of Joan A Hamilton

 Hi Everyone,

I just spent an extremely wet and stormy weekend at a cottage in the Georgian Bay area with my husband's side of the family. Although it rained, the sun shone in our hearts because we were together having fun!

I imagined what the sun falling into the water would look like, and how I could feel the colours and this is what I came up with.

Working on a looser, less literal style and it's slowly coming. I haven't been painting, blogging or going on forums much lately because of other work commitments, and needless to say - I miss you all.  I will be back to blogging in a few weeks as time permits! Hope you are all having a happy safe summer! Thanks for stopping by.

Love ya,

 Joan

Hi Joan. Your weekend retreat with family and fun sounds wonderful. I don't think there is anything better than that -- just let the sun fall in your painting shine on your gathering.

I LOVE how the sunlight seeps through the underbrush and hits the high spots of the rocks. :)
